Life is hectic. And having kids just adds to the load. As mothers, we have this this overwhelming feeling and mindset that we have to take care of everything and everyone. But once in a while we need to take a step back and relax. So, To the Mom Who Thinks She Has to Do It All, you deserve a break!
Being a mom is a non-stop job that leaves you stressed and exhausted at all times. Having all of this responsibility on your shoulders day after day will burn you out! Please don’t let that happen to you, because motherhood is such an amazing gift. But its hard to enjoy it when you feel so pressured to create a nearly perfect household and family all by yourself.
Somedays it is enough to JUST be mom. You don’t have to be the housekeeper or the chef every minute, you are allowed to take a break.
Sleep in or take a nap. Lay down and watch Netflix, or just spend the day with the kids, take them out for ice cream. Maybe even go crazy and have a girls night! But whatever you choose, know that you do not have to feel guilty for letting loose every now and again. It doesn’t have to be often or something that is scheduled.
If you wake up and it all just seems too much… that’s okay. We all have those days. But that might mean its time for a break, and that’s okay too.
Just for one day, slow down and stop trying to keep up on all of the household chores.
Dinner can be a little late. You can fold the laundry tomorrow; the kids can be late to school today.
Everything does not have to get done and more importantly, you don’t have to do it all.
Yes, I know someone has to do it. But even if you get everything done today, there will be more to do tomorrow. So please mama, Take a break! Take some time to yourself. Take a few minutes to play with the kids. You don’t have to do it all!
